HUMAN + AI
Hi, I'm Rashad
VC / Angel Investor, Community Builder

My journey began at 12 when I arrived in New York City from a small village in Bangladesh. I worked the overnight shift as a doorman while in college, reading the Wall Street Journal at 4:30 AM and dreaming bigger. I cold-called my way onto Wall Street, built a successful management consulting career, and became a Principal at Capco before turning 30. Life taught me resilience through profound personal loss, reshaping how I understand purpose, empathy, and what truly matters.
Today, I’m a VC/Angel investor, Pear VC Fellow, MIT Sloan MBA, and community builder passionate about backing underrepresented founders and creating opportunities where they don’t exist. As an investor, I’ve deployed over $1.3M across dozens of startups and built a 410-member VC syndicate alongside a 130-member Bangladeshi American tech community. My investment philosophy is simple: bet on resilient founders solving real problems, especially those who’ve had to create their own seats at the table.
Prior to MIT, I was a Corporate Vice President at New York Life Insurance, leading AI and digital transformation initiatives. I started my career at KPMG as a management consultant. I also hold an M.S. in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence from NYU Stern School of Business.
If you’re a post-product, post-revenue founder building across the AI value chain—chips, data infrastructure, cloud/inference, LLMs, agentic systems, vertical SLMs, applications, or devices—let’s connect. I also offer advisory services (0.25%–1%) on fundraising, go-to-market, and strategy.
